Michael Avenatti Arrested On Felony Domestic Violence ... Believe All Women Or No? 🤔 #MeToo

Michael Avenatti, lawyer for alleged Trump mistress Stormy Daniels, was arrested on felony domestic violence in Los Angeles recently. It was originally reported that he assaulted his estranged wife, but it has now come out that it was a different woman, possibly a girlfriend. He has since been released on $50,000 bail.

Upon his release, he gave a brief statement to the press in which he flatly denied the allegations and he said he looks forward to a full investigation into the matter. However, according to TMZ, witnesses who saw Avenatti and the woman in question paint a different story.

In the case of Avenatti, witnesses said they saw him cursing in anger over the matter saying "she hit me first!" Witnesses also allegedly saw the young lady in the street, crying while on her phone saying "how could you do this to me" and "I'm going to take a restraining order out against you.

Due process is the law of the land, so guilt or innocence in this case is yet to be determined. One caveat with that is Michael Avenatti being a fairly prominent figure in the #metoo movement in which due process isn't really popular. Chants of "believe women" are the norm in that space. Will they believe the woman accusing Michael Avenatti? Only time will tell.
