He goes on to say that it comes down to the argument of knowledge vs experience. There isn’t enough reading you could do to replace real world experience. It’s just like the saying “if more information was the answer, we’d all be billionaires with six packs.” He then recommends websites like Investopedia and Bigger Pockets, but in the end nothing replaces the importance and skills built from experience.
Philip also gives job advice and looks at the question of wanting a job solely to make a certain amount of money. He then proposes a change to instead look at the idea of “how can I create value where I work, and my compensation is a byproduct of what I’m doing?” Focusing on adding value instead of just how much money you make is a key piece of early career advice that could benefit anyone in any field.
