Republicans appear to be more enthusiastic about cryptocurrency than Democrats at the moment. Nonetheless, there are many Democrats who are strongly pro-crypto.
Crypto fans come from many walks of life, but they all believe that Blockchain technology will drive the future of money. Holding crypto has a big philosophical component because it is essentially money without the intervention of the government. At first look, the Republican Party appears to be more philosophically compatible with the free-market revolution. Furthermore, several Republican politicians are already positioning themselves as pro-crypto and against regulatory action.
So there's a massive partisan divide forming in the politics of cryptocurrency with republicans, at least for the time being, seeming to be more in favor of allowing crypto to flourish with little to no government intervention. The midterm elections are approaching, so a crypto crackdown by the Biden administration or Congress might cause problems for Democrats as they prepare to confront a significant challenge to their power in Washington.
Millions of Americans have reaped substantial profits from their cryptocurrency investments. As a result, any type of restriction or taxes on their holdings might sway a huge number of individuals to vote for Republican politicians.
