Seasonal affective disorder, or SAD, is expected to impact people more this year, according to psychologists. Over the last year, more individuals have stayed at home, and they aren't receiving as many opportunities to shift their surroundings as they used to. According to psychiatry.org, around 5% of individuals suffer from SAD and it can last up to 40% of the year.
So, how can you combat the want to sleep all day? Box light therapy is recommended by doctors. The strong light simulates the sensation of being outside in the sun. They discovered it to be one of the most efficient approaches to combat SAD. This treatment can work faster than medication
Doctors advise getting outside to change your surroundings if you don't mind the cold. A 20- to 30-minute stroll can be beneficial. If not, consider an indoor activity such as knitting, cooking, or spending time with family and friends.
