Livestream every Tuesday at 10:00 am West Coast USA / 1:00 pm East Coast USA / 8:00 am Hawaii / 7:00pm Central European
Videos released this week:
- Restless Leg Syndrome and ADHD
- Positive Illusory Bias and ADHD
- Caffeine and ADHD
After a 1 minute recap of each video, I’ll be available for questions on these topics or any other related to Mental Health.
- Restless Leg Syndrome:
RLS, or the uncontrollable need to move one’s limbs, primarily in the evening, is found more often in those with ADHD than those without. Unfortunately, many of the dopamine promoting strategies that have been approved for this condition, and that help in the short-term, may worsen the long term course.
- Positive Illusory Bias:
PIB is an overestimation of one’s abilities, not substantiated by fact, and occurring in a substantial minority of children with ADHD. PIB refutes the notion that everyone with ADHD has rejection sensitive dysphoria, and may be a precursor for narcissistic personality disorder.
- Caffeine and ADHD:
Caffeine is the most widely used psychoactive medication on planet earth, and a weak stimulant. Many individuals with ADHD face the dilemma of whether or not to continue drinking coffee or tea when using stimulant medication.
