YouTube Description
as posted by the channelCortisol is the major stress hormone of the body, pumped out by the adrenal gland (along with norepinephrine and epinephrine) in response to stress. Cortisol helps make more glucose available to muscles and fat cells. It damps down inflammation. And it also has effects on the brain. Circadian rhythms also contribute to cortisol release, with an early morning peak the hour of wakening, and decreases throughout the day.
