10:00Now PlayingI was honoured to speak on behalf of AfriForum at the the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Budapest, Hungary, 2022. It was the first CPAC in Europe. I took part of the discussion on Culture Wars in the Media. I decided to talk about the crisis in South Africa, how it is distorted, why it is distorted and what we can do about it. I shared four of the lessons that we have learned as Afrikaners in post-1994 South Africa.
These lessons are:
1.) We win with our actions, not our arguments;
2.) Culture outweighs politics and ideology;
3.) The solution lies in community and institutions; and
4.) The way to the future is through the past.
