4:42Now PlayingDuring a recent media appearance, Trump ally Roger Stone said that he believes an indictment is coming for Donald Trump soon, but he doesn't believe that the President actually committed any crimes. Stone believes that prosecutors in New York are going to create phony charges for either bank fraud or tax fraud, and that's how they'll take him down. Farron Cousins explains why Stone is likely partially correct about what could happen.

Donald Trump's longtime ally. Roger Stone appeared on info wars recently where stone warned Donald Trump, that indictments are coming now, don't get him wrong. Roger Stone believes that Donald Trump has done absolutely nothing wrong. The guy is an angel. Okay. None of what they're looking into in the state of New York is real,
But
Nevertheless, indictments are coming and Trump, you better be prepared for that. Here is what stone said during this interview. You said I would be shocked if they did not come forward with a fabricated indictment for bank fraud or tax fraud against the former president by Manhattan district, attorney Cyrus, Vance, Jr. If they want to go after the president on fabricated charges, then we will establish that this is a partisan witch hunt, but okay. How, how, how do you know that it's fabricated charges? So basically you're saying if they do indict him, then, then you get to immediately say, ha, now it's a witch hunt because they've indicted him. Now it's obvious what Roger Stone is doing here. Right? He is laying the groundwork because that's what Roger Stone does
To, uh, mislead the public.
You know, putting out this preemptive propaganda is what it is so that he can convince people before anything ever happens that listen, they're going to indict him. And they're only doing it because it's fake and they want to derail his political career. And stone then added, um, said that, uh, the charges will likely be filed sometime around when the Republican led effort to examine ballots in Maricopa county, Arizona, Arizona comes to an end. Don't be surprised because I see that coming. He says,
Look,
Honestly, Roger. I mean, if we're being real here, that would literally be the best time for you and for the entire Republican party for indictments to come down, because we all know how this ballot audit that's now been going on for what? Five fricking weeks. We all know how that's going to end. Okay. I don't think they found the bamboo that they were looking for. In fact, they haven't found anything. And do you know how we know because they haven't come out and said anything. You mean to tell me that this Republican led effort in the state of Arizona is so tight
Lipped, that nobody leaked any evidence of fraud when they came across it,
That simply doesn't seem likely. I would think if they had found even a single
Ballot that might
Even look a little like fraud, they would be waving it in front of every single camera, within a hundred mile radius.
But we are not
Seeing that because it doesn't exist.
So again,
They announced, Hey, we've got the results of our audit here. And I guess we have to make them public. The best thing that could happen to Republicans is New York saying, well, hold up, we got bigger news. We're indicting former president. So that way nobody pays attention to the fact that we just wasted hundreds of thousands of tax dollars, recounting ballots for like the eighth time, because Republicans wanted to massage Trump's ego. So you can say that it's a diversion. All you want. It's a diversion from the fact that you guys are wasting everybody's time chasing fraud, that doesn't exist. And that would be the best thing for you. But I hope the two invents do not events do not coincide. I hope they're as far apart as humanly possible. In fact, I hope that when the stink dies down over one, then the other shoe drops. That's what should happen? Just like a whole month long embarrassment for the Republican party. I would love to see that happen.
And I do think
Yes, that Roger Stone is half, right? I do think that in the near future and diamond they're coming, they got the grand jury.
They've got the witnesses. They may be able to convince Allen Weisselberg to flip, who knows eventually the public will.
And that is terrifying to people like Roger Stone. And that is why he's out there with his preemptive propaganda, trying to convince us already that the whole thing's a hoax. So don't believe anything that you hear.
