As we talked about in a video yesterday, Donald Trump is apparently telling people behind the scenes that he fully expects to be reinstated as president by August. And yesterday, I mentioned that this is a clear sign that Donald Trump has basically been sucked into his own delusions. But after reading a little bit more over the last 24 hours, there may be another explanation to this. Here's what's going on. New York times, Maggie Haberman is the one who reported that original story. And since then in the 24 hours, since then she says that we can expect Donald Trump to basically get a little crazier as the investigation in New York heats up. So that got me thinking what if the former president is not suffering under his own delusions, but what if instead, this is all part of the PR scheme. Think about it this way. Donald Trump has already told people that this investigation in New York is just a way to keep him from running for president again.

And since he knows that there's this weird August, uh, deadline among his crazed conspiracy loving followers, that he would be president again, indictments would likely come before August if they're going to come at all. So what better way to convince it's these already loony individuals that this investigation was just to prevent him from becoming president again, than to pretend to buy into the delusions, just to go ahead and counteract any coming indictments, because if the indictments do come before August, then he could be like, oh no, this was all because I was going to be president in like a couple of days. And now I can't because, oh man, this is, this is so terrible. But we all know it was about to happen that I was going to be president and that they did this investigation just to prevent it. That makes total sense in Trump world now to you and me, that probably sounds insane.

In fact, as I said it, I couldn't help, but feel like maybe I'm the one going crazy here, but again, it's our job here to try to analyze what is happening to try to figure out a rational reason why things are the way that they are. And this is of course, just one possible explanation. Trump could be up playing the August deadline in order to downplay or essentially run PR interference for any coming indictments. We also know based on recent reports that the investigators in New York are essentially treating this, treating the Trump organization as if it were some kind of mafia crime family, which means they might be looking at Rico against the Trump organization, which means they'd be able to charge everybody if they find any kind of criminal wrongdoing. So Trump is worried. He is scared. You know, Maggie Haberman has been on top of this with the New York times since the beginning of the Trump administration reporting on what's happening inside of Trump world. So she's a pretty accurate and fair reporter on this particular, you know, issue regarding everything happening in Trump's life. So I do think there is a logical explanation for why Trump is feeding into these delusions. I do think he understands that he cannot just randomly become president again by August, but he has to make people think that he could in order to downplay and essentially write off the indictments that are looking more and more like a certainty with every passing week.
