Question: I stay in a multi-story building in Pune. Two members of the society are conducting their business there. They have established their office with staff reporting on a daily basis. Other clients also frequent their office. Can a residential apartment in a co-operative housing society be used for commercial activities?
Answer: Residential apartment in the co-operative society cannot be use 100% for commercial activities. They need to take permission from the municipal corporation. Under D.C. rule professional who resides in the said flat can use 1/3 area of their space for professional activities and not more than that.
