Question: I booked a flat with M2M at my home town of Rohtak, Haryana. I paid Rs 9.5 lakhs in two instalments. It’s been 3 years and nothing has been done by the builder on ground. When I approach the builder with a request to refund my total amount they are not responding at all. How should I handle this situation and get my money back from the builder?
Answer: You can give a notice to the builder. You can also ascertain a status, take photographs and then go to consumer forum. File the case for the expediting the possession and OC. Alternatively, you can ask proportionate market value for what is paid with interest, compensation, mental harassment and legal cost.
