Question: My society has passed a resolution with the help of some members that we cannot keep students and bachelors as the tenants on rent. Is this resolution legal? And how does it stand in court of law?
Answer: This is completely illegal. Society cannot pass such resolution. You can file a consumer complaint against the society. Give legal notice to the society via an advocate. But Consumer Court could be more effective.
