Question: We have booked a flat with a developer last year and paid the booking amount as well towards the first installment. The developer has given the receipt, but not the allotment letter. What are my rights to get the allotment letter or get compensation for the interest of one year of booking the flat?
Answer: This is a Maharashtra Ownership Flats Act (MOFA) violation under Section 4. You can book a criminal complaint against the builder. You can also file a complaint against the developer in the Consumer Court. You can also get refund with the proportionate market value or can ask for 22-24% interest.
