Question: My budget is Rs. 10 lakh and I want to invest in a property in Ahmedabad near Dholera, is this a good investment opportunity?
Answer: You get good returns when there is economic activity happening and also when there is significant rise in the consumer demand. In case of Ahmedabad near Dholera, I think it’s too early at this point of time as the development there is slow. But from a very long term view, you have options of investing in around 200-280 sq. yard plots in early stage developments and also 1BHK units of 600 sq. ft. I am not sure if you should take the risk of investing near Dholera as a retail investor. The right time to invest in this area will be when the infrastructure work actually begins.
