Question: My budget is Rs. 60 lakh - Rs. 70 lakh; I want to buy a property near Mumbai-Pune Expressway. Is the area good from investment and residential point of view? Also please suggest me good properties I can invest in.
Answer: If you have a long term horizon, I would ask you to look at Panvel Khalapur area as there are large townships coming up and a lot of development work is happening. Whereas properties near Mumbai-Pune Expressway are more or less complete and the development is coming at a saturation point. You can look at places like Talegaon, Chakan where there is some amount of rise in property value and is driven by the manufacturing sector. If you’re looking from a short term horizon, you can look at investing near Mumbai-Pune Expressway but if your hold period is long enough, Panvel Khalapur areas will be best to invest in.
