1:41Now PlayingThe residents of Pune's Anandnagar area staged a massive protest against the local administration on the grounds that through the lockdown they were denied access to basic essentials. The locality has been declared a containment zone after it recorded the highest density of COVID-19 cases in the Pimpri-Chinchwad municipal corporation limits. According to the police, the mob engaged in vandalism and stone pelting through the protest. An FIR has been registered against unknown people for the violent clashes that took place at the protest site. The protestors have demanded that the government lift restrictions with immediate effect to resume public movement and supply of goods in the area.
