The party has said the decision will endanger students and put their life at risk. It has had a long standing demand over the last few months for the cancellation of the exams. The issue has been a major concern for the authorities as it has come under the cognizance of the Madras High Court as well, which had also slammed the Tamil Nadu government for its decision to conduct the exam on June 5th, citing a safety risk for the children. It has now called on the state to present a report on its preparations and its stand before it passes an order.
