8:18Now PlayingIn a shocking and sad development, several police officers were killed and severely injured in an encounter shootout operation late last night in Kanpur. The incident occurred when a team of officers went to raid an area suspected of massive criminal activity. The target of the team was to gather evidence and stop the operations of criminal Vikas Dubey, who has almost 60 cases filed against him as of now. The criminals open fired at the cops, leading to the death of 8 personnel reportedly, while many others were injured. The operation is still underway and a forensic team has been sent to the area. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath has expressed his condolences over the loss and promised strict action against those involved.
