From 386 cases as of June 1 to 9580 cases as of July 5, Bengaluru sees a massive jump in the number of COVID cases.
BJP leader Dr. Narendra Rangappa says "We have not let our guard down. There are many factors responsible for the increase in the number of cases. The growth rate is well under control."
Whereas, the Public Health Expert Dr. Sylvia Karpagam says “Patients who could've been kept in primary or secondary level facilities & those who are asymptomatic are occupying beds which should be reserved for serious patients. There is a lack of planning.”
