7:07Now Playing10,100 beds spread across five different halls on a sprawling 57 acres campus, the Karnataka government has converted the Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre into a COVID Care Centre. About 35kms away from the city, this facility will be exclusively set aside for the asymptomatics with mild symptoms. The Centre which will be functional from this weekend has an adequate number of toilets, nursing stations, kitchens, and recreational areas for the patients' other required facilities. At a time when there have been discussions of the shortage of medical staff, Sarfaraz Khan, the Joint Commissioner for Solid Waste Management (SWM) in BBMP who is overseeing the entire operations of the facility, tells Mirror Now's Sreeja that for every 100 patients, one doctor and two nurses will be deployed to monitor the situation.
