3:19Now PlayingSeveral houses collapsed and others got damaged in the slum area of Anna Nagar near ITO as heavy rains lashed Delhi on Sunday morning for about four hours.
The houses collapsed as a portion of the road alongside the drain caved in after the water level increased due to heavy rains in the national capital.
No casualties have so far been reported in the incident.
The local authorities said over 10 houses were either damaged or washed away due to heavy rain.
National capital's Centralized Accident and Trauma Services (CATS) and fire engines rushed to the spot to evacuate those who got stuck in damaged houses.
Early morning heavy rainfall led to waterlogging in several places in the national capital.
One person, who was driving towards Cannaught Place today, tried to maneuver his vehicle through the waterlogged underpass, died after his vehicle got stuck under a waterlogged bridge in Delhi's Minto Road.
