3:22Now PlayingEven as there has been a promising decline in the cases in the national capital and the Delhi government has ramped up antigen testing in the national capital, the Centre and ICMR have asked the state to ramp up testing. The Centre has asked the state to add RT-PCR testing as the method is now considered more reliable to detect the infection as opposed to the antigen tests.
Maharashtra, in particular, the outskirt satellite areas of Mumbai, Kalyan-Dombivli as well as Vasai-Virar have also been brought under the focus as major COVID hotspots. These areas have reported a large number of COVID positive cases even as testing remains poor.
