56:33Now PlayingUnion Health Ministry is briefing on various measures undertaken by the government to curb the Coronavirus spread. India’s COVID-19 count crosses the 11 lakhs mark. The State is Delhi being most hit as over 23% of Delhi’s population is affected by the deadly pandemic virus.
The Health Ministry says, ‘We have managed to keep a low case fatality rate in a big country like India with limited resources. Many states have a lower case fatality rate than the national average. 77% of the population is still vulnerable. This includes the elderly and the high-risk population. There are 420529 active cases in India. The numbers of active cases are decreasing. The case fatality has dropped significantly to 2.43%’.
