2:55Now PlayingThe latest development in the Kerala Gold Smuggling Case reveals that the National Investigation Agency has conducted a custom raid of two jewellery shop owners Abdul Hamid and Abu Bakar. Both the accused have accepted their links in the gold smuggling case; they also operated in other states apart from Kerala.
Previously, NIA had raided the residence and office of gold smuggling main accused Swapna Suresh. The raid exposed many jolting UAE documents and links with terror. The matter had come to light on July 5 after the Customs Department seized 30 kg gold worth Rs 15 crore concealed in diplomatic consignment at the Thiruvananthapuram international airport.
