1:27Now PlayingUttrakhand: The locals in the Chamoli district of Uttrakhand have been forced to use a local bridge to cross rivers. A landslide has caused these bridges to collapse. Incessant rain in the Chamoli district has caused distress to the locals and there is no one to help them out.
On speaking to the District residents of Chamoli, he said the bridges have been damaged since the floods in 2017. No measures have been taken to repair the bridges. The locals are crossing the bridge every day and putting their lives on stake. This has caused distress to the locals.
However, Swati S Bhadoriya, DM of the Chamoli district says the PWD has made a paddle bridge at a distance of 200 metres from the damaged bridge but the residents refuse to use it. The locals have been using a kaccha road to which is safe.No reason to worry.
