Serum Institute has further added that they are reviewing the situation and are following the instructions of DCGI. The AstraZeneca-Oxford trials have been paused in the United Kingdom after a receiver suffered an ‘unexplained illness’.
The AstraZeneca trial is in its third phase and was continuing its trial despite the global pause. The review process is on for the vaccine. The AstraZeneca is not in the race of COVID vaccine as of now.
The other vaccine trials will continue as planned.
