A 19-year-old Dalit woman in Uttar Pradesh was gang-raped by four upper-caste men in Hathras District on September 14. The victim succumbed to her injuries in Delhi's Safdarjung hospital. She was left in a pathetic condition with her tongue chopped off and the body paralyzed.
Her death has sparked outrage with the Bhim Army workers, Congress, and Aam Aadmi Party blocking to protest in the National Capital demanding justice for the girl.
The administration sprung into action after 14 days.CM Yogi waited for PM Modi's call to form SIT for further investigation asked Priyanka Gandhi.
“Only the DM or the SP cannot take this decision. If we have to blame somebody, we should blame the highest police or political leadership,” says VN Rai, Former DGP, Uttar Pradesh.
