It is almost 26 hours that the media has been denied entry and section 144 of the CrPc has also been imposed. Furthermore, the movement of the family has also been confined by the U.P police.
Former DGP of U.P, A L Banerjee speaks to Mirror Now over the current situations that prevail in Hathras. A L Banerjee states that if the police are trying to conceal something, that can only be proven through the investigation that is being done by the SIT. He also adds that the police must have imposed section 144, in order to stop people, who might show up in large numbers in and around Hathras. Former DGP also adds that forceful cremation was a wrong step taken by the police, as it is also against the law.
