One such protest took place in Powai area where students, tribal women, people from social groups and political groups gathered and raised their voices against the gruesome crimes against women reported across UP and the country.
The young female students spoke about feeling unsafe in the country. The protesters chanted slogans against Uttar Pradesh government because of the way the state government burnt the girl's body, is treating the family and stopping media from entering the victim's village. The protesters were also chanting slogans against the silence of prominent leaders and ministers in the government.
