1:21Now PlayingHathras gang rape horror has sparked outrage in the whole country with ministers from other parties trying to make it to Uttar Pradesh, in order to meet the victim’s family. Just a day after Congress’ leaders Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi were detained by the police, in order to stop them from reaching Hathras, leaders of Trinamool Congress have been stopped by the police today.
TMC leaders stated that they wanted to pay their condolences to the victim’s family as told to them by Mamata Banerjee, but they are not given permission and have been stopped 1.5 km before the victim’s village.
Apart from the ministers, media has also been restricted entry into the village by the police.
