as posted by the channelThe Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike’s Chief Manjunath Prasad has commented on the recent flooding in the city.
He stated that the flooding took place due to unexpected rainfalls and that the civic body has begun the remodelling of the stormwater drains.
The BBMP Chief also visited all rain-affected areas in the city. The Chief said the main concern remains the health and therefore all areas are being sanitised.
When asked how could the issue go unnoticed since residents had already reported leaks to the officials, he said, the work has already begun. He further added that because of such greater extent of unexpected rainwater and storm, the water began to clog.
