Defying nationwide trends, Delhi is among the few states that are heading in the wrong direction in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic. The city reported more than 8,500 cases on Wednesday (11th November 2020), setting another daily record. The death toll increased by 85, taking the total to 7,000.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Former Director Dr Mahesh Chandra Misra says, " We anticipated the spike in COVID-19 cases because of the festive season. People have started believing that Covid is gone & they aren't taking enough precaution. We seem to be in 'Auto' mode now."
