This comes after receiving permission from the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) for the trial of the vaccine developed by the Hyderabad-based pharma firm Bharat Biotech and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). DGCI's approval for trials was followed by a recommendation by the Subject Expert Committee.
