A plea was filed in the Madras High Court which questioned the Tamil Nadu Gaming and Police Laws (Amendment) Act, 2021. Madras High Court in its judgement on Tuesday strike down the blanket ban on online betting. Madras High Court has slammed the Tamil Nadu government's law, which was imposed by the then ruling government AIADMK in the state of Tamil Nadu. The Madras High Court has called the ban erratic, unreasonable, and disproportionate, further terming the ban invalid.
