Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman Chairs the 45th GST meet, which is being held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Today's meet has an agenda to discuss petrol and diesel to be brought under GST, among other things such as food aggregators, 5% tax for food delivery apps like Zomato Swiggy and be treated as restaurants, tax concession for 11 covid drugs etc. Sources suggest that Kerala is set to oppose bringing fuel under GST as it has direct implications on state revenues. The discussion will most likely circle around reviewing the GST rate for 32 goods and 29 services in the meet.
