The national child body says the program has loopholes in it and could be unsafe for children as it brings children close to unknown people. To which Aam Admi Party Leader, Atishi has come up with a reply targeting BJP. She said, "putting hindrances in the implementation of a path-breaking scheme like ‘Desh Ke Mentor’ shows the shallowness of the BJP and its government machinery." The mentorship programme was launched in October 2020. Youth aged 18-25 can sign up and become mentors for children studying between class 9th to 12th. Watch To Know More!
