15:51Now PlayingThe National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has advised that the Delhi government's 'Desh ke Mentor' programme be discontinued until safety "loopholes" be "overhauled." In reaction, AAP MLA Atishi claimed that creating obstacles in the way of a "path-breaking plan like 'Desh ke Mentor' demonstrates the BJP's and its government machinery' shallowness." The programme, which will begin in October 2020, will provide volunteer mentors to kids in grades I through XII. Mentors between the ages of 18 and 35 can sign up through an app developed by a team at Delhi Technological University and will be matched with students based on shared interests.
