During the protest, Akhilesh Yadav declared that the party's assembly would be held on the streets. He sat down on the streets with party MLAs and declared that the monsoon session will begin on the streets. Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, commented on the protest, saying the Samajwadi Party should have obtained permission to hold the march.
