The constitutional bench of Supreme Court announced the order on 10 percent of reservation to economic weaker section of the general category. CJI UU Lalit was the member jury in that constitutional bench. He mentioned about his first appearance in Supreme Court to then CJI YV Chndrachud and father of present CJI DY Chandrachud. Few remarkable decisions of his life a judge are EWS for general category and granting capital punishment to the convicts of Red Fort attack in year 2000.
