Organisation's spokesperson Mohan Gowda accused Das of showing India in a negative light in Washington last year. He alleged that Vir Das made derogatory comments about women, PM Modi and that he 'denigrated the nation.' The organisation said that his show from last year hurt the religious sentiments of Hindu community and with Bengaluru being a communally sensitive area, it is best to avoid his performance in the city.
