On today’s Outkick the Show, Clay Travis discussed the ongoing debate about athletes in the NCAA and whether or not they should be allowed to get paid and receive endorsement money. Clay broke down some of the intricate details and issues that need to be considered when thinking through the complexities involved in such a change.

Clay Travis also addressed the arrest of Jeremy Banks, a football player for the University of Tennessee. In a video released by the University of Tennessee Police, Banks made the following comment: “Where I’m from, we shoot at cops.” Clay communicated his support of police officers and how individuals within our country need to accept their authority, treat them with respect, and stop demonizing them.

Clay Travis then commented on the apology coming from Bubba Cunningham, the AD of the University of North Carolina, that he offered to Clemson University for the fan-mocking comments that appeared on their video board during a football game over the weekend. It was Clay’s opinion that the comments were funny, inoffensive, and didn’t warrant an apology. We need more humor in our country, said Travis, and less whining.

Clay Travis went on to talk about The Stars Group, a stock he invests in personally, and how months ago he accurately predicted they would do well in the market. The stock is currently soaring, said Clay, and he hopes people took his advice. Flutter Entertainment is to buy The Stars Group, making it the world’s largest online betting group in by revenue.

Finally, Clay Travis gave his first double blood-bank guarantee of the season. When Auburn plays Florida on Saturday, October 5th, Clay takes Auburn -3 and the under. Get rich, kids.
