YouTube Description
as posted by the channelAfter severely damaging his neck from a horrific accident, Tim Heidler of Hollidaysburg Pennsylvania spent nearly 20 years without a voice box. He spent those two decades communicating with an electrolarynx, and after seeing multiple doctors, it was looking like he would never be able to have a voice again. But after discovering the potential to receive the world's first larynx / voice box transplant from Dr. Marshall Strome at the Cleveland Clinic, he soon jumped at the opportunity. This procedure would go down as a tremendous feat in the medical community. And debates would arise on whether organ and vascular composite allografts (VCAs) were ethical or not.
