Clarence Thomas’ Wife Helped Plot Jan 6th!? Excuse Me?

Should we be worried that the wife of a sitting Supreme Court Justice was actively inciting rebellion against the legitimately elected President of the United States? I’m sure it’s also no big deal that her husband was also the only no vote on the Supreme Court’s decision to release January 6th related communications from the White House.

Virginia Thomas was fairly well known before this fiasco as a member of the extreme right wing of the Republican party. Her love for Donald Trump also became apparent during the Trump years, as she was known to be a big supporter of our big orange president. In the waning days of the Trump administration, however, she used her position as wife to a Supreme Court Justice to exchange dozens of messages with White House staffers, directly petitioning them to do everything possible (even though it was illegal) to overturn the election.

On Tuesday, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted: “Clarence Thomas should resign… If not, his failure to disclose income from right-wing organizations, recuse himself from matters involving his wife, and his vote to block the Jan 6th commission from key information must be investigated and could serve as grounds for impeachment.” We shall see whether Democrats will listen to this very obvious suggestion to enforce the rule of all… or not.
