11:06Now PlayingJoe Biden took time out of his busy schedule last week to be mad at… college students… for… peacefully protesting. A man who lived through the civil rights movement, the anti-Vietnam war peace movement, and activism against apartheid South Africa now believes that college students should protest in ways that aren’t so likely to lead to divestment, boycotts or sanctions. Militant student protests are cool, but the second they begin to challenge the Zionist status quo, Biden has a problem.
Much like his other statements in support of Israel while it carries out an ethnic cleansing in Gaza, Biden used his live-address to the nation to spread lies that benefit the Israeli state. Biden claimed that the protests were violent and destroyed some sacred private property, and that outside agitators were threatening the stability of our great institutions of higher learning. In reality, the protests have been entirely peaceful, and any property damage caused by the students pales in comparison with the destruction created by the police forces brought in to violently suppress these students’ right to speech and assembly.
