Stores Selling Out Of Horse Dewormer Because Conservatives Falsely Think It Treats COVID

Conservatives and anti-vaxxers will do anything to avoid having to actually protect themselves from COVID, even if it means taking medicines that aren't designed to treat the infection. The latest craze is Ivermectin, an anti-parasitic drug used to get rid of worms in horses, which right wingers and conspiracy nuts have been claiming can treat COVID (it cannot.) This is why things are still so bad in the United Stats, and with idiots like these pushing pseudoscience, we could be in for another spike in the near future. Farm supply stores are reporting that they are running out of ivermectin, a horse and livestock antiparasitic dewormer and the reason they're running out of it is because these crazed anti-vaxxers, anti-mask, maskers and otherwise conservative voters are running to these farm supply stores and snatching up all the supply of ivermectin so they can take it themselves to treat COVID-19. And let me go ahead and say before we get into any of this, ivermectin does not treat COVID-19. COVID-19 is a virus. Ivermectin is an antiparasitic. Not, not, not the same thing and we're talking about the living kinds of parasites, worms and things like that. Even in humans, when ivermectin is prescribed, it's prescribed to kill intestinal worms, just like with horses. Except obviously a horse and a human are not similar animals.

And so these conservatives are out there buying up horse dewormers, taking it because they think it can treat COVID and it's all based on a ridiculously flawed study that came out of Australia last year. And then they're getting sick, having to call poison control. Oh my God, I've overdosed on horse wormers. Please help me. It's amazing the lengths to which these people will go to in order to avoid doing the one thing that we know has already been proven to help people with COVID and that is get the vaccine. Like, that's it. That's what you gotta do. But instead you would rather gamble your life taking a medicine that's meant for an animal four times your size, even larger, because you don't want to go and take that, that vaccine. These people are nutty at this point, folks.

I mean, look, if they're going to start taking horse dewormers and then get sick and possibly even die from this, by the way, because the one sold in these farm supply stores are not for people. Let's be crystal clear about that. These are not designed for human beings. They are not meant to be ingested into the human body. They are for live stock. Just like if you go to the vet and get pills for your dog or cat, it's not safe for you, the human to take them and people are getting sick and they're injuring themselves taking this ridiculous, bogus treatment for COVID, which doesn't even work, all instead of getting the vaccine. So clearly these people have no problem with taking medications.

They just have a problem with this vaccine because it's been so politicized over the past year. It's not a liberal thing. It's not a conservative thing. It's not a Democrat or Republican. It's not a progressive or fascist. Get the vaccine so we can get this country back to where we need to be. So that we don't have to continue wearing masks for the next five years. Unless of course you want to, or if you have a cold or you're not feeling well, then I say, we need to keep doing that. However, we need to be able to reopen everything. We need to be able to travel. We need to be able to get people back to work. Isn't that what conservatives want? Well, if it is, stop taking the horse dewormers and go get the vaccine instead.
