Trump Tricks Supporters Into Thinking He's Suspending His Campaign To Swindle Them Out Of Cash

Shortly before the voting began in Iowa on Monday, Donald Trump sent out a frantic email and text message alert to his supporters that said "President Trump: Suspend My Campaign?" Such an eye-popping statement was meant to get people to open the messages where they quickly found a plea for one million MAGA freaks to give him money because the "left" thinks he should suspend his campaign. None of it was true, but the grift probably worked like a charm, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

Shortly before the voting began in Iowa, on Monday, Donald Trump apparently tried to pull a fast one over on his supporters by suggesting in a campaign, fundraising email and text message alert that he might be suspending his presidential campaign. Trump sent out both an email and a text message alert, as I said, and the subject was President Trump, suspend by campaign. And that's all unless you actually clicked on it that you would see from his message. So immediately, all these Trump supporters getting the text message, getting the emails, think, oh my god, president Trump might be suspending his presidential campaign. So of course you're gonna click on it. So what happens when you click on it? Well, it says 1 million true mega responses needed. It then called on pro-Trump patriots to give Donald Trump money. So you dupe 'em in, you try to convince them that maybe I'm gonna suspend my campaign, maybe not. You gotta give me some money. But then of course, the email went on to say, the Hate America left, thought I would've suspended my campaign by now. And at this very moment, we're going to send them a message they'll never forget.

Um, I, I gotta say I'm, I'm part of the Trump hating left. Let's be real. Uh, I haven't heard anybody on my side say at any point in the last year that they thought Trump was going to suspend his campaign. Now, if you've heard anybody on the left say that, please feel free to send me a message and say, Hey, actually this person did say they thought Trump would suspend his campaign. Uh, but as far as I know, I, I haven't heard anybody say that. I've never seen that on a headline. I've never seen that on any left wing website. I don't know of a single instance where anyone on the left actually thought Trump was going to suspend his presidential campaign. So not only are you duping your voters into thinking you were gonna suspend it, but then you turn around in the email and convinced them that the left thought or somehow wanted you to suspend your campaign like that.

That's not ever been a thing. But the reason I'm even talking about this is because this just shows you how discombobulated and downright stupid these Trump emails are. They don't make any sense. They're not rooted in reality, but he still raises tons of money from it. These idiots who open those text messages, who read these emails, they see it and they're like, oh my God, I gotta give him some money. I gotta empty my bank account to give this charlatan another $20, another $40. He's calling on pro maga Patriots like myself. I have to do this. He needs me. Or he

Could suspend his campaign. And that's just what the left wants. He's not talking about policy. He's not talking about his plans for his second administration. 'cause his plan is nothing but vengeance. But they don't care. How do you deal with such a sizable portion of this country that doesn't care about politics? I mean, they obviously care about the politician. They care about the political party, but they don't care about the policies. They don't care what he's proposing, what he's not proposing, what he'll do for them, what he won't do for them. None of it matters. It is 100% win or loss team sports for these people.
