13:14Now PlayingTwo of the men who played vital roles in justice for the family of George Floyd are attorneys Benjamin Crump and Antonio Romanucci. They helped the Floyd family get a historic $27 million settlement from the City of Minneapolis as an act of civil justice. Crump and Romanucci joined "Start Your Day" with Sharon Reed and Mike Hill to discuss their work. When asked about what needs to change, the attorneys agreed that qualified immunity needs to end. "It's a get out of jail free card," Romanucci said. Crump said he is honored that people turn to them for help, but it's heartbreaking that Black families are left desperate and grieving after acts of police violence. Crump said it is also hard because they cannot promise that families will see justice in the courtroom.
