Minnesota prosecutors are striving for a 30-year sentence. Speaking before Judge Peter Cahill, Minnesota Assistant Attorney General Matthew Frank reviews the aggravating factors of the case issued by the judge. Cahill ruled there were aggravating factors in the case that were proven beyond a reasonable doubt, including abuse of power, treating Floyd with particular cruelty, the presence of children, and group participation in a crime. Chauvin’s attorneys are aiming for a lesser sentence in the case.
