10:02Now PlayingAfter the COVID-19 relief bill passed in March, minority farmers were supposed to receive some funding starting in July. However, the funding is being delayed across the country to black farmers after Caucasians in Wisconsin filed a lawsuit.
After a hard year with COVID-19 issues, Jeff Jacobs, owner of Jacobs Farm, was depending on the COVID-19 relief bill to help get his farm back on its feet. According to the USDA, this funding was going to help Black farmers who have been disproportionately affected by discriminatory policies.
Now that white farmers have filed a lawsuit in Wisconsin that they have been discriminated against, a federal judge has to order an injunction.
