21:04Now PlayingFirst, Sharon Reed talks about district attorney Bruce Castor, who got the original deposition from Mr. Cosby for the Andrea Constand case by removing the threat of any criminal charges. That way, Mr. Cosby would have to speak in the deposition because Mr. Castor didn’t have enough evidence to build a successful case. Once that happens, there can be no more judgement in a court of law. Constand understood what this meant for her case.
Host Mike Hill believes the deposition was taken in order to get Constand some type of payment from the case, but he acknowledges that this tactic came back and bit Castor in the butt. Hill also faults district attorney Kevin Steele for prosecuting Cosby in the first place. Hill argues that if they all knew the law then they should’ve known they couldn’t use any of that information in the new case against Cosby.
